I see absolutely no problem in using scissors for snipping at food, to do so during the cooking process is surely nothing more than highly efficient. As for Laughing Cow - who ever managed to make the ruddy tape thing work anyway 🤷🏼♀️ Enjoy Greece - but not too much retsina!
Thanks Vanessa - just back and it was LOVELY. Yes, taking umbrage over the snipping thing still baffles me. Surely that's what kitchen scissors are for?! (
Hi Fiona, I hope you're having a fabulous time in Greece! 🇬🇷🎉😎 Here is my thought process on the laughing cow cheese as I read your (again brilliant) piece of writing...
Yup, that is a bit weird and messy.. oh no yuk, why?! But then I got to the end bit where you mention crackers... then I thought... of-course that's genius! Squirt it right on there, no need for a... oh hang on, she uses a bloody knife to stab it open... so WHY NOT JUST USE IT TO SPREAD IT ON THE CRACKER?! 🤣🤣
Oh, and also... cutting food with scissors IS totally normal and really rather efficient... especially to 'slice' a pizza - life changing!! 🤣
Glad you enjoyed Eva - thank you! I must admit, my laughing cow squeezing is probably a pathetic sort of rebellion.... I detest being instructed/nagged into doing things the 'proper' way and will therefore cling to my less efficient and usually messier method... but I do also enjoy the squeezing! (Agree on the pizza scissoring) xx
Does eating peanut butter out of the jar count as a terrible habit. No? I don't think so either. How about eating liquorice toffees in bed and stuffing the wrappers under my pillow?
Honestly - I'd been doing the bed thing for 3-4 years. Now I've made the transition I've started to enjoy being vertical/clothed. It's like re-entering society! x
I'm glad Kirsty! Anything to try and lessen feelings of overwhelm and serve as a reminder that it is only a load of words that'll go through loads of rounds of edits and polishing! x

Thanks for making me laugh out loud (again) 🧡

Have fun in Greece. x
Thank you! I think peanut butter was invented to be spooned right out of the jar... x
I’m lying in bed thinking I should probably stop looking at Temu and be vertical. But it’s so hard to sit in a chair and wear clothes!!

Hope you are enjoying Greece! I love a quickie ;-) A great wee post, laughed out loud at the hello shitty first draft greeting! Very useful! x

That's a good one too, 'only a load of words' must remember that, thanks!
