I’ve mentioned this before but the first published article I ever had was a reader’s story published in ‘More!’

It was called “How I got revenge on my cheating Texan ex” 😂😂

I was so thrilled someone would pay me for telling my salacious little tale😂😂

POTF always made me that weird mix of knowledgeable and insecure.

As a young woman doesn’t everyone want to feel like an up-for-it Karla Sutra?😂😂 But secretly even then I don’t think I could be arsed with some of the more challenging acrobatics. I think I’ve always been more comfortable dusting a lampshade than swinging from it😂

If we're honest, I think most of the more! staff shared your view Julie - POTF was definitely more of a giggle-fest than a source of practical info! 'The helicopter' was quite boggling and potentially injury inducing. I'm sure I have a faint memory of the Texan ex story! x

I loved More! Magazine. It was hilarious. I don't think anyone took the potf seriously, but it was always one of the first bits I turned to!

Loved More! Magazine 😊 it was such a brilliant era to grow up- I was 18 in 1995 and as it was pre social media, we got up to all sorts and there’s only a few dodgy photos as evidence of that time! Great memories of a great magazine, thanks Fiona!

Thanks Aileen. Yes, like you I'm immensely grateful for the very sporadic photographic evidence of those days! xx

More great memories thanks. My brother used to steal mine to read, very annoying! I remember getting that wee book of short stories and hiding it due to shame! Changed days now wished I still had it ha ha! xx

There were quite a few brother-thieves! Yes, there must have been half a million of those books printed - I'll keep my eyes peeled in charity shops! xx

Great days Suey - and I met YOU! It's been fun doing some magazine reminiscences, but I can't wrap my head around how long ago it all was! xx

Brilliant! I remember it was a jam packed mag - tons in it and oh yeah remember the girls in the office running in with the new copy and seeing what was ‘new’ that fortnight!

Good to see you crediting Dr David Delvin as inspiration for POTF. I also used to raid my mum’s She magazine for his advice columns. Very instructive!
