Aww Fiona I all goes by so fast... blink and you'll miss something. But we do the best we can with what we have, don't we? I'm happy to report that today, my adult children are 34, 32 and 27. Sometimes, I look at them and it amazes me I got through it all.

Evenin’, luv. I’m sounding like a broken record (yet again!), but just adopt some cats and skip all the drama. I can sleep at night knowing full well that Daisy, Nelson, Rodney and Eva Marie will never sit on the carpet in the middle of the living room floor, smoke a reefer and tell me they hate me. Nitey-nite, luv!

It's too late for me for that! 😄 But you know they might surprise you and turn on you one day!

So accurate. And yes. If I had the energy now, I'd love to give it a better shot. I had a son who once came home with a 'demerit' slip saying he'd eaten a page of the bible in class! They didn't really get the fact he was extremely bright and a little what they call now neurodivergent with it and he was constantly in trouble. Perhaps understanding that they bored him might have been more useful than putting him in to a class with much more emotionally mature older children. I am so happy to be old and not in charge of children any more! I dont think I was best equipped for the job any way. We cant all be great at it!

You're so right Annie - all we can ever do is our best. I wonder if they'd be more understanding about bible eating now! I like to think that teachers are better equipped to understand that every child is an individual and unique. x

Remember you telling me this. Horrid Mrs S! We were told at a secondary parents evening that Cal was a problem because he couldn't seem not to sing quietly throughout his maths lessons. I mean... I daydreamed through mine. Whatever gets you through. And your kids are awesome! <3

Thank you love! Singing quietly in maths - sounds like a perfectly valid way to make the interminable lesson go faster! x
